Space-saving is clear at one glance
A machine room is merely an extension to the hoist-way of the elevator. Therefore, the construction of a machine room is easy and inexpensive. The compact permanent magnetic gearwheel free main unit requires much lighter hoisting equipment as compared by the one required by the traditional units. It can even be directly hoisted through the hoist-way for installation.
